Tasks
Tasks are what you would call "quests" in some games. They are activities that when completed, you are rewarded by the game system. Don't forget to get the task before you do it though. Here's how to get a task:
Click the "Task" button on the Ring Menu (when you're inside a castle)
or the side menu (when you're out on the field):

Side Menu outside the castle:

The task window will now appear. The "Main task" tab is empty; click on the "Daily Tasks" tab to find some tasks.
This is the "Daily Tasks" tab. Tasks here refresh daily; all tasks that are left unaccomplished will be refreshed tomorrow.
Now, here's how you use the task window:

- Click an unclaimed task in the list. Read the objective. That's what you have to accomplish.
- Click the "Get Task" button to activate the task.
- Highlight the completed task on the list then click the "Get Reward" button to receive the task rewards.
Once you click the "Get Task" button, the task will be In Progress.
After completing the objectives, the task will be completed

Buildings
Buildings are an integral part of your castle functions. A majority of buildings serve as production centers. Some buildings have specialized functions. You can find out more about them when you look at their descriptions in the town hall or in their respective building windows. At the beginning of your game, your castle will only have a town hall inside it. You'll have to build your castle from scratch at this point. Here's how you construct your buildings:
Click your Town Hall to start building your buildings.

Click the "Build" button beside the building you want to build. If the button is blue, it means that you can build if.
If its gray, you either don't have enough resources to or you have an unfulfilled requirement.
You can see the cost and other requirements by doing a mouse over on the "Build" button.

Click the "Build" button to start building. The resource costs are listed as a reminder of what you will be
spending to have this structure built.

The building will appear as gray while its under construction. Once finished, it will have color. You can see how much time is left until its completed in the progress window.

Recruiting Heroes
You can think of your heroes as the vessels for your troops. Heroes can't move by themselves; neither can troops. You have to put troops and heroes together so that your army can move and do your bidding. Let's work on recruiting heroes for now.
Click your Tavern:

Choose a hero to recruit. Heroes in the tavern refresh after a certain time. Keep on checking, you might see a rare hero.

Appointing Castellan
A Castellan is basically the hero who is in charge of defending your castle. Even if the castellan does not go out and do battle with monsters, the castellan will still gain experience after buildings are built / upgraded, troops roll out from the barracks and magic is successfully researched, etc.
Click your Hero Tower:

Click the "Appoint Castellan" button:

Now, choose which hero will become the castellan and click "Appoint" When you're done:

Recruiting Units
Units are the troops that are assigned to your hero. Units Can't move on the field without being assigned to a hero. Your heroes' stats affect the units. The higher your heroes' stats are, the stronger your units are.
Click your unit producing building. Barracks produce units for humans, elves and orcs.
The graveyard is the unit producing building for the undead.

Click the "Train" button of the unit you want to train:

Input how many units you want to train by either typing the number in the box or by moving the scroll bar:

Allocating Units
You've got a hero and some units... What do you do with them? They can't move without each other so let's allocate units to heroes so you can send them on a rampage. So, how do you get in in all this fun?
Click the "Units" button of the hero you wish to allocate units to. You can see the "Units" button in other windows;
you don't have to keep on going to the hero and unit management tabs to allocate units.

Click on the unit you want to allocate to your hero. You may choose form the units in the castle or the units of another hero. Remember, you can't drag and drop here.

Now, click the slot where you want your selected unit allocated to.

Now, input how much units you want to move by typing the number in the boxes or moving the scroll bar in the middle.
You can just click the "Maximum" button beside the box where you type the number of units to move as much as you can.
Click the "Confirm" button when you're done.

World Map
The Big Map is your field. Call it World Map if you will. Here, you can see monsters, allied and enemy heroes, resources and buildings. This is your playground, make the most of it.
Click "Leave Castle" to enter the world map.

There are lots of things on the map; buildings, units, resources, menus and opportunities.

- 2.1 Treasure. Be careful, the better the treasure, the stronger the monsters that guard it.
- 2.2 Your Castle. An information window will be shown when you hover the mouse pointer over it.
- 2.3 Resources, in this case, Ore.
- 2.4 Monster/NPC.
- 2.5 Find/Search Tool. Use this to search for treasures, resources, monsters or buildings on the world map.

- Options in the ring menu are also accessible on the world map. They can be found on the right of your screen.
You can use the Find/Search tool to view a list of NPC's, buildings, items and resources that can
be found on the big map without scrolling around:

- 3.1 Click the "Move" button to move your camera to where the target is.
- 3.2 If you click the "View" button, the window of the target will appear without the camera moving to the target's location.
- 3.3 You can save the coordinates of the target for whatever purposes you might have.
Combat
Now that you have a humble army that you can be proud of and a target, its time to put all your work building, training and allocating to good use. After all, this is what you built an army for, right?

Click your target on the map or the "View" button on the search window for the NPC info to pop out and click "Attack". Do not attack an eight-star NPC during your early stages in the game.

When your hero reaches the target NPC, a battle reminder will pop up asking whether you want to command the battle or not. Click "Confirm" to take command or click "cancel" to leave the battle up to the hero AI. Only do this if your army is a lot stronger than your target.

This is what the battlefield looks like:

- Individual Command. Click a unit slot and give an order to a unit slot.
- Your units. Watch them fire and tear away at enemies.
- Your hero. The click the command buttons below the hero picture and all your units on the battlefield will follow the command.
- Your hero skills. Click on an orb to use the skill.
- Enemy units. Your food.
- Battle Timer. If time runs out, the battle will be halted and the side with more surviving units will be decalred as the winner.
- G.If you have something better to do, click "Leave command post" to go back to the big-map view. The hero AI will take over the battle.
- You can also occupy buildings and mines by attacking them. The "Attack" button will only be replaced by the "Occupy" button.
- Buildings that have a "Visit" button cannot be occupied.
Market Tutorial
There will be times that you have lots and lots of ore and no lumber. Most things in Casvian require five kinds of resources. This will come in handy if you're short on some resources but have lots of other resource types to spare.
Start by clicking your market:

To trade one kind of resource for another (except gold), click "Merchant Resource":

Input the amount of the resource you need and choose the resource you want to give for it.
Click "Confirm" when you're done.

What about gold? After clicking your market, here's what you should do: Click "Sell resources".

Choose a resource to sell for gold and input the amout you want to sell. The gold you will receive will be listed in the "Gold Obtained" column. Careful when selling resources; unlike trading lumber, ore, sulfur and crystal, you can't trade buy the four resources with gold. Click "Confirm" to sell your resources.

Dispatching and Recalling Heroes
Now that you've had your taste of battle and you got to occupy a structure, you must be wondering, "I won the battle already, why is the hero not going home?" When you successfully occupy a structure, your hero will be automatically stationed there. Here's how to call back your hero home, or have your hero guard a building on the big map for you:
Click on the building your hero occupied. The example below shows a sulfur mine that was successfully occupied:

Choose the castle you want your hero to return to (this won't be a problem if you only have one castle, though) then choose which hero will return to the selected castle. Click "Recall" when you're done choosing.

Now that you're called your hero back, what if you need someone to guard the mine (or another castle) this time? You have to dispatch a hero to reinforce the building. Click the building on the big-map and click the "Dispatch" button.
You can access the view mine window through the kingdom list if you don't want to scroll around the map trying to
find the right mine to send reinforcements to.

After that, the process is the same with recalling your hero. Choose the castle that the hero will come from,
choose the hero who will be dispatched to the building and click "Dispatch" to send your hero to the building's defense.
You can allocate your hero's units by clicking the "Arrange Units" button.

If that wasn't enough for you, you can check the casvian wiki here. If you know better, contribute to the wiki. Your contribution will be duly recognized.
